Suffolk County OEM - Damage Assessment Notification

SUFFOLK COUNTY OEM Preliminary Damage Assessment NOTIFICATION 

Good Afternoon, 

Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services - Office of Emergency Management is requesting for an initial preliminary damage assessment (PDA) following the coastal storm which occurred 12-17 through 12-18-2023.  We are asking all municipalities to complete the Local Damage Report for Public Assistance Assessment form by end of day 12-28-2023.

In addition we are requesting the the following information be distributed on your organization website or distribution list.  This information is being collected by New York State for the purpose of assessing potential eligibility for funding from other available federal assistance programs.

Due to the coastal storm event that occurred from 12-17 through 12-18 if you had any damages to homes and/or businesses please click on the link to the NYS damage self-assessment tool to evaluate the potential for additional Federal Assistance, including an SBA declaration. The purpose of this form is solely to collect information that may help State and local officials identify supplemental damages to develop and augment potential requests for available federal assistance programs. Business's, Private non-profits, and individual home owners are encouraged to report any losses.
