Annual Fire Island Sand Castle Competiton at Robin's Rest
Our names are Daniel, Veronica, and Adrian. We build a sand city on the beach every year and compete to make the prettiest one. All of our cities are built to withstand the ocean tides and waves with walls, moats, and other barriers. We wanted to expand our fun to make a competition where the top winners could get some kind of prize. We host this competition every year on the Sunday (August 30th this year) before Labor Day on the beach between Ocean Beach and Atlantique.
